Rebuild Grants: Supporting Our Community, Together

We're proud to announce the launch of our Hurricane Helene Grant Programs, designed to support the incredible businesses that make up our downtown community. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we know the road to recovery won’t be easy—but we're here to help. With two grant options available—the Relief Grant and the Rebuild Grant—we are committed to doing what we can to see our local businesses back on their feet and thriving.

Relief Grant

This grant is for any business that was operating before Hurricane Helene and needs immediate help to recover. Whether it’s replacing lost revenue, restocking inventory, or covering other urgent expenses, the Relief Grant is here to provide quick financial support. We understand that the aftermath of a disaster can be overwhelming, and this grant is designed to help businesses stabilize and continue serving our community. Our goal is to ensure that local businesses can not only survive but thrive as we move forward together.

Rebuild Grant

For businesses that need to rebuild both their property and operations, the Rebuild Grant provides support to cover recovery costs. This grant is designed to assist with everything from structural repairs and renovations to replacing essential equipment or infrastructure, ensuring businesses have the resources to fully restore operations. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to reopening in Downtown Spruce Pine, emphasizing our shared dedication to bringing back the vibrancy and economic strength of our community. This grant isn’t just about rebuilding structures—it’s about restoring livelihoods, revitalizing our downtown, and bringing life back to the heart of Spruce Pine.

Eligibility

  • Businesses can apply for both the Relief and Rebuild Grants.

  • Property Owners can apply for only the Rebuild Grant.

  • To qualify, you must have been an active business site in Downtown Spruce Pine at the time of the hurricane.

  • Applicants need to demonstrate damages—whether physical (like property repairs) or fiscal (like lost revenue).

We’re excited to have been able to offer this program to our resilient business community. Together, we can rebuild stronger than ever!
